New Site Specific Reports July 2010

The latest analysis of site specific reports has now been uploaded and are ready for use from the Downloads section.  The use of a site specific password or specific access rights under a registered name and password is necessary to gain access to these.  General reports are accessible to non-registered / public users.

There is a further update to the layout and format of the Error and Validation report based on user feedback and requests. Please take a look and suggest changes. . .

A new addition is Report (V) in iBID Reports concerning the monthly volume of data flow into the iBID central server from each burn service in England and Wales. This give an indication of any systematic problems of data delivery.

Introduction and Welcome

This site will hopefully be of interest to you if you are looking for information about burn injury.  In the different sections there is information about the common causations, susceptible age and social groups and healthcare consequences of this type of injury.  Elsewhere on the site there is information about how burn care services are assessed and some information about the work being done to stimulate the process of continual self-assessment and quality of care improvement.

There will soon be articles on the matter of injury registry creation and running. Accumulated experience from over 15 years of effort for those interested in this area of work, or who are misguided/optimistic enough to want to start!

It may be of interest to appreciate that with the stage of development of both the iBID and iBCS software, with data centralisation plus semi automatic analysis and report generation, which is done on a monthy basis, it is now possible to offer them both to an unlimited number of burn services worldwide. Expressions of interest should be made through the 'Contact Us' menu.

Most areas of the websites are open to the public, however many of the specific reports and functions, including downloadable software, are only available to registered users of the site.  Registration will only be available to those that have a demonstrable role in health care provision or its organisation or those involved in injury prevention.

Should you have comments, suggestions or criticisms to offer please use the Contact Us menu item to let us hear from you.
