PRI/6 Hot water bottles and microwaveable personal warmers, BSI standards reinstated

Following the recreation of the British Standards Institute committee PRI/6 and subsequent committee ballot, both standards are to be reinstated.

• BS 1970:2012 – Hot water bottles manufactured from rubber and PVC –Specification
• BS 8433:2004 – Microwavable personal warmers – Specification

The committee will now consider revising these standards to best inform and protect the public about this growing risk.
